Yard Sales and 3 Year Olds

Beware of neighbor's yard sales. They cost you time and money. After all, you can't very well walk around your neighbors yard gawking at their treasures/trash and not buy something. It just wouldn't be polite. But the worst part is the small treasures the children find and just think they have to buy. Their wallets are within walking distance and they would gladly sacrifice their hard earned cash on hot wheels and various trinkets. But ESPECIALLY beware of 3 year old boys and their not so quiet voices.

Eric had seen some hot wheels for a $1 and had asked his dad about buying one. I found out that dad thought they were too expensive when our 3 year old informed me and the neighbor that was selling them that dad said "they were WAY too 'spensive!" Unfortunately, the floor did not open up and swallow both me and him. The only thing to do in a situation like that is to pretend your 3 year old doesn't exist, smile sweetly at your neighbor and make a graceful exist. Hard to do when you're 4 1/2 months pregnant.
