And Waiting.......

Our little girl is still not here. Things have stopped at 4 centimeters which is very "normal" and so at 9 i will be put back on pitocin. The dctrs have debated breaking my water but hesitate to do that until i'm in active labor. Once they break my water we are on a ticking time clock and they really want to avoid c-section if possible. Please pray that things would progress. The dctrs are taking time out of their busy schedules to do this for us and my OB leaves the country on Friday to fly back home. She will be leaving for South Asia to serve there indefinitely. There are other OB's here but we have built a relationship with her and really, really want her to deliver.
So it looks like our journey of faith is far from over at Tenwek. We know God is in control but our human nature struggles to relax and trust. Thanks again for the prayers and emails sent across all these miles. We feel them holding and carrying us.

  1. ahhh... waiting. So hard! I am glad that the Dr's and your OB are all being patient and not rushing you and your body; that is refreshing to hear! But it doesn't lessen the agony of waiting. I will grab a cup of tea, sit in the quiet stillness of my lego-and-laundry-strewn house and join my heart with yours in prayer.
May you and Marlin enter into the rest Jesus has for you (Heb. 4); may He bring you there, even when your human nature fights in its lack of understanding.
May you find new strength as this journey continues.
    Love you!

  2. Isaiah 40:29,31....He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary ; and they shall walk and not faint.
I am constantly thinking about you and lifting you to the throne of grace! Even tho' we miss Tonys here i'm so glad they can be there with you thru this time.

  3. Hi Darla Just wanted to let you know we prayed for you and your little ones at small group tonight. We sang the song " Blessed be your Name" and I thought of you still praising His name in this valley. Praise the Lord. Love you and we will keep you in our prayers
